Kiting has been a part of my life since 2006. Today, I bring my passion, and since 2022, my coaching skills and genuine local snowkiting knowledge about South Tyrol's mountains to every session.

KiteAlps is about more than just learning to snowkite. It's about discovering the mountains, understanding the wind, and experiencing this sport with someone who truly lives and breathes it.

Our course offerings

Taster course

Introductory course in snowkiting

Experience the fascination of snowkiting in a safe and relaxed environment.

Ideal for families, children and anyone who wants to learn about snowkiting.

Course details:

Duration: 30 minutes practical + theory

Group size: Maximum 4 people per course

€90 per participant

Individual group course

Licensed instructors will teach you wind and safety rules, equipment setup, ground handling, controlled starts, and basic maneuvers. The exercises will be tailored to your skill level and equipment (skis or snowboard) — with a clear focus on safety, independence, and rapid learning progress.

Course details:

Duration: 2-4 hours, minimum 1 hour of practical work per participant

Group size: Maximum 4 people per course

Private Day

A whole day just for you – with personal instruction from one of our experienced snowkite instructors. Whether you want to improve your technique, learn new tricks, or simply kite safely in the backcountry – we'll tailor the day to your goals and skill level. Ideal for: Beginners, intermediate riders, and freeriders who want to train individually or explore different spots. Includes: Individual coaching, spot selection, safety briefing, and personal guidance on the snow.

Duration: half-day to full-day

Group size: 1 person per course

Kite Assistance

The assistant is part of a group course – spot briefing and support – including radio communication and kite and harness rental for safe snowkiting. The assistant will be introduced to the spot and kite equipment and kept in contact via radio. Safety backup is provided by an instructor.

Duration: half-day to full-day

Group size: 1-5

Frequently Asked Questions

Is snowkiting difficult to learn?

No! Snowkiting is often easier to learn than kitesurfing. With your existing skiing or snowboarding skills, you're guaranteed success from your very first lesson.

Is kiting dangerous?

Don't worry! With the right knowledge, suitable equipment, and a bit of self-assessment, kitesurfing is safe – and that's exactly what you'll learn step by step in our courses.

What do I need to be able to do to take a course?

You should have some skiing or snowboarding experience – you can learn everything else with us in a relaxed manner.
